Students in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and grades 1-2 will earn an S, N, or U for their class average, while students in grades 3-5 will have their grade reflected as a percentage and letter grade. All students will be graded on behavior, and effort towards achieving their personal best (not on talent or ability).
Students are expected to exhibit the same good behavior and attention as required in their regular classes. This will ensure that all students have equal opportunity to achieve their personal best.
Tennis/athletic shoes MUST be worn on P.E. days for the safety of your child. Girls hair MUST be pulled back completely using only a pony tail holder or head band. Should there be any reason for not participating (colds, injuries, etc.), I will excuse a student with a note from a parent explaining the situation. Should an excuse extend more than 2 consecutive P.E. classes, the student is required to bring a note from the doctor and a release from the doctor to return to activity. Be sure to refer to the student handbook for any additional information.
